Programa Comenius

“Culture and Language Ambassadors” aims to improve students and teachers cultural diversity and language competence and skills , including those with disabilities, by developing a model of learning cultures, traditions , customs as  opportunity to communicate with other people through an active, constructive process.(…)”learner is an information constructor” using power of face to face interaction comparing their feelings of curiosity with realities which overcomes the approach of cultural and social learning contexts in which students play an active role in learning oriented to the individual dimension.

The project promotes an approach based on a pro-social interaction, “students as ambassadors of their languages”, favouring a cooperative learning that creates the opportunity for sharing differences through transnational mobilities.

From 2011 until 2013, the project partners explored the pedagogic potential of web-tools, magazine and other activities related with music, traditional dances, popular games, food, lifestyle and knowledge of the different educational systems.

The total number of mobilities “Culture and Language Ambassadors” done by APCC during the two project years has been 24 in line with planned on application stage. We have managed to ensure that mobilities were organized to maximise the benefits for both students with disabilities and teachers at the 4 European partner schools, including the one in APCC.

The most part of common activities of “Culture and Language Ambassadors” done by disabled students and teachers have been introduced in APCC’s  Site and on e-twinning.  Key project insights have been published in the Daily Project Magazine by students. The APCC’s newsletter noticed about the project in its beginning as well as when the mobilities carried out ( Urgup, Coimbra, Bielsko and Gerena). In October the main results of the project will be published and sending to all stakeholders and similar organizations of APCC.

Students and teachers have developed basic and cultural skills: foreign languages and communication, cultural interaction and dialog, ICT management and communication, learning to learn, team and individual work, creativity, self-confidence , autonomy, initiative, motivation, between others.

Through activities and mobilities partner schools , have become aware of travelling as a quality learning and teaching opportunity for disable students and teachers/ staff.
